Ruth Scanlon

Ruth Scanlon, 77 of Stamford, passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at home. Born on February 25, 1933 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late John and Iona Myers Carlson.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Robert A. Scanlon of Stamford; her son, Randy D. Stebbins and his wife Stephanie of Mohegan Lake, New York; her daughter, Penny Lynn Stebbins of California; four sisters, Ann Ruggieri and June Miano, both of Florida, Nancy Colucci and Patty Genovese, both of Stamford. Also surviving are four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her son, Christopher Scanlon.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Wednesday August 4, 2010 from 3:00 – 7:00PM, with a prayer service to be held at 4:00PM with Rev. Arthur Mollenhauer officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in Ruth’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
