Salvatore M. Annetta, 58, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born June 26, 1950 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Frank and Donata Sabia Annetta.
Salvatore was employed by the US Postal Service for thirty two years. He taught pottery at Silvermine Art Guild for several years. His hobbies included music, fishing and off-road racing.
He is survived by his two brothers, Dominick Annetta and his wife Shelley of Albuquerque, NM; and John Annetta and his wife Kathleen of Stamford; his sister, Catherine V. Annetta and her husband Victor of NM; his aunt, Pam Sudo of Greenwich; and two nieces, Laura and Lisa Annetta.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Frank Annetta.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, November 6, 2008 from 6:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:20 AM on Friday, November 7 and proceed to St. John Cemetery in Darien where a graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM with Fr. Mollenhauer officiating.
