Salvo Interlandi of Hollywood, FL, 91, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born January 31, 1916 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Sabatina Interlandi.
Salvo was a Building Inspector for the City of Stamford retiring after fifteen years, prior to that he was a Bricklayer and a Builder. He was also a lifetime member of the Elks. Salvo was a veteran of the US Army Engineering Battalion in WWII, having served most of his time in the South Pacific on Islands of Fiji, New Guinea, and the Philippines having arrived there D Day plus one.
He is survived by two brothers, Joseph and his wife Irene Interlandi; and Raymond and his wife Rosemarie Interlandi; five sisters, Henrietta Crocco; Sara Arcano; Angela and her husband John Pirre; Anna Carlucci; and Gloria Kapteina; and several nieces and nephews all of Stamford.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Sebastian and Michael Interlandi; and four sisters, Concetta Pirri; Mary Conca; Corinne Pace; and Clara Interlandi.
