Spencer Ewen Adams, Sr.
February 20, 1923 — October 4, 2006
Spencer Ewen Adams, Sr., 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Stamford Hospital. Born February 20, 1923 in Bloomfield, Prince Edward Island, Canada, he was the son of the late Stanley Clark and Kathleen Adams.
He was a retired electric motor repair man, and was self-employed for thirty years. He was a member of the Norwalk Stamp Club and Old Kings Highway Stamp Club. He was also a veteran of the US Navy, having served in WWII.
He is survived by two sons, Spencer E. Adams, Jr. of Hamden, CT; and Brien C. Adams of Stamford; two daughters, Heather A. Sypniewski of Stamford; and Diane F. Byrne of Mechanicsburg, PA; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Frances OBrien Adams; and a brother, Maynard Adams.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, October 9, 2006 from 2:00 4:00 PM and 6:00 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Gary Mammana officiating.
