Spyridon X. Kantzas

Spyridon X. Kantzas, 78, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2009. Born in Kastania, Sparta, Greece, on January 1, 1931, he was the son of the late Christos S. and Agelike Koliniatis Kantzas.
Spyridon was an Electronics Engineer for Raytheon for 27 years before retiring in 1988.
Spyridon is survived by his wife, Stavroula Koutsoumbos Kantzas; two daughters, Agelike Kantzas & her husband Mark Allen, Helen Kantzas & her husband John Nangle; a son, Christos Spiro & his wife Traci A. Kantzas; a sister, Helen & her husband Paul Soulikias; a brother, John & his wife Sonja Kantzas; and two grandsons, Constantine Giannopoulos and Alexander Spiro Kantzas.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Athanasia Varelas; and a nephew, John Kornelius Kantzas.
Friends are asked to meet at Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford Street, on Saturday, January 17, 2009, where a service will be held at 11:00 AM with the Reverend George Poulos officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Stamford. There will be no calling hours.
