Stanley Jaroszynski, age 71, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital, as a result of complications due to diabetes. He was born on April 14, 1941 in Stamford, CT to Katherine and Matthew Jaroszynski.
Stanley graduated from Holy Name of Jesus and from Wright Technical School in Stamford. He enlisted in the Marines and completed basic training before he was honorably discharged due to a knee injury. As a truck driver for many years, he worked for Pepperidge Farm, Vallerie and Froelick. Stanley opened his own moving and storage business over 30 years ago in Norwalk.
Stanley is survived by his mother Katherine Kolich Jaroszynski Drotar of Stamford, his daughter Sinaed Bailey of Norwalk, and sons Glenn of Trumbull, CT, Steven of Bridgeport, CT and Brian Jaroszynski of Missouri; also his sisters Sharon (Ron) Reeskin, Cathy (Joe) Tedesco , Joyce (Frank) Larobina and brother Scott Drotar. Additionally he is survived by his grandchildren Shannen Bailey, Nickolas, Billy and Kelley Jaroszynski. He was predeceased by his father Matthew Jaroszynski and Step Father Edward Drotar.
As a child, Stanley was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed his daily breakfast at the Ocean View Diner with his friends as well as Men’s game dinners at various clubs in the area.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford, CT on Tuesday January 15, 2013 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Stanley’s name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 26 Broadway, New York, NY 10004 or to the Norwalk Fire Department, 141 East Ave, Norwalk, CT 06850.
