Stephanie Christiansen

Stephanie Christiansen, 59, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born April 4, 1949 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Estelle Nizolek Siladi.
Stephanie was a registered nurse, and President of the Advance Alumni Nursing Registry Inc. since 1995 and ran the registry for thirteen years. She was a graduate of Stamford High School, Class of 1967 and Stamford Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1970. She was a surgical nurse for 23 years at St. Josephs Hospital and Stamford Hospital. Stephanie was a giving and devoted person to her family and even strangers. She opened her house to everyone.
She is survived by her husband, George E. Christiansen of Stamford; a son, Evan Christiansen and his wife Bianca of Stamford; three brothers, Paul Siladi of Milford; Dennis Siladi and his wife Mara of Stamford; and Christopher Siladi and his wife Connie of Freedom, ME. Three grandchildren, Shaun, Jaelin and Evyn Nile Christiansen; several nieces and nephews and her best friend, Linda Ferris, also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, David Siladi and a sister, Sydney Siladi.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, December 15 from 3:00 5:00 PM with a prayer service being held at 4:00 PM with the Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Interment will be private.
