Stephen Palmer
November 25, 1962 — December 30, 2009
Stephen M. Palmer, 47, tragically passed away on December 30, 2009 in Stamford. Born on November 25, 1962 in Elmira, New York, he was a lifelong resident of Darien and Stamford. He was the son of Frank Paul Palmer and Diana Pellegrino Palmer.
Stephen was a 1981 graduate of Darien High School, most noted for being its Wrestling Team’s Captain and the 1981 FCIAC County Champion and class L State Champion in the 155lb. weight class. He then graduated Syracuse University where he was also a Resident Advisor. He had been a past Assistant Wrestling Coach for Westhill High School in Stamford and was a computer technician for various area computer companies.
In addition to his parents, Stephen is survived by his siblings, Frank A. Palmer, Alison P. Gaston, Deborah A. Palmer and April L. Richter, and four nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Monday, January 4, 2010 from 4:00-8:00PM. A service will be held at 7:00PM with Rev. Arthur Mollenhauer officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien, CT at 12 Noon.
