Susan Gallo
March 5, 1918 — February 7, 2007
Susan Gallo, formerly of Stamford and Darien, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at her sons home in New Canaan. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Gallo was born in Stamford, March 5, 1918, the daughter of the late Frank DePanfilis and Anna (Silvestri) DePanfilis.
Susan was a loving and devoted wife and an extremely proud mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Paul J. Gallo and his wife Anita of New Canaan; three grandchildren, Aaron Gallo, Esq. and his wife Heather of Darien; Dr. Amy Gallo of Los Altos, CA; Laura Gallo of New Canaan; and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Mia. Susan is also survived by one brother, Gino DePanfilis of San Antonio, TX.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Gallo; two brothers, Ralph and Joseph DePanfilis; and one sister, Mary Zaro.
A funeral service will be held at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Dr. Scott L. Harris, Pastor of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Stamford, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns RC Cemetery in Darien.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 9, 2007 (TODAY) from 5:00 8:00 PM.
