Susan Ann Smeland, 55, of Darien passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Norwalk Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1957 in Stamford to S. Arthur Smeland and Joan Mazza Smeland.
She is survived by her loving mother Joan E. Mazza Smeland of Falls Village, CT, her sons Mark Smeland of Darien and Mike A. Gentle of Norwalk, a sister Cynthia Trichinotis of GA including two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, S. Arthur Smeland , she was predeceased by her son Wayne Gentle.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 12 Noon at St. Mary’s RC Church,566 Elm Street, Stamford. Interment will be private and there will be no calling hours.
