Susie Lorusso

Susie Esposito LoRusso, 87, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 14, 1924 in Stamford to the late Nicola and Pasquaella Brignola Esposito.
Susie played an active role alongside her husband, Dominick with Marshall’s Express, Inc, and upon his passing remained an active owner.She was also an active member of St. Maurice RC Church.
Susie is survived by her loving daughters Phyllis Coviello and her husband Peter of Stamford, Donna Melfi and her husband Mark of Stamford; three loving grandchildren Mark V. Melfi, III and his wife Nancy, Suzanne DelCarmine and her husband Tony and Kelly Coviello all of Stamford. Also three great grandchildren Taylor, Tony, and Marissa DeLCarmine and several nieces and nephews surviving.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Dominick LoRusso and five sisters and seven brothers.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:20 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5:30- 8:00 PM.
