Theodore Victor Fiordelisi, 86, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 19, 2015.
I am survived by my lovely wife of sixty years and best friend Mary (DeLuca) Fiordelisi. I will miss her very much. I was born in San Mango Sul Calore, Avelino, Italy on September 10, 1929 and came to America in 1932.
I am the son of the late Salvatore Fiordelisi and Carmela (Coppola) Fiordelisi.
I graduated from Stamford High School, Class of 1947 and served in the US Maine Corp with rank of Sgt. During the Korean War. I was a former member of the Italian Center, Stamford Exchange Club, Stamford Chamber of Commerce, Adult and Continuing Education, Stamford Museum and Nature Center and the Republican Town Committee.
I was employed by Natelson’s Clothing Store from 1951-1991 in sales, buyer and store manager. After Natelson’s Clothing Store closing in 1991, I became an account executive with Natelson’s traveling all over fifty states doing bankruptcy sales.
I am survived by three lovely daughters, Deborah Esposito of Stamford, CT, Carmela Cleary and her husband John of Monroe, CT and Lisa Considine and her husband Thomas of Trumbull, CT.
I was a loving grandfather to my wonderful grandchildren, Melissa Labrosciano and her husband Dennis of Ridgefield, CT, Leah Cleary of Monroe, CT and T.J and Teddy Considine of Trumbull,Ct and great grandfather to Stella and Sebastian Labrosciano of Ridgefield, CT. I am also survived by two sisters, Emma DeLuca of Stamford, Cleo Calo and her husband Vito of Stamford, one brother Salvatore Fiordelisi and his wife Jennie of Fairfield, CT, as well as many nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.
Besides my parents, I was predeceased by a sister Louise and a brother Joseph Fiordelisi and my mother in law Theresa DeLuca.
I will be remembered for my love and devotion to my family, as a husband, a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a friend. Perhaps, most will remember me by my sense of humor, my practical jokes and my love of the simple things in life.
