Theodore C. Melonakos, 90, passed away peacefully at the Stamford Hospital, on July 22, 2012. A lifelong resident of Stamford, born on September 25th, 1921 to the late Constantine and Helen Antonakos Melonakos.
Theodore was a retired accountant from the State National Bank of CT. He also served in WWII with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater.
Mr. Melonakos is survived by his son Constantine “Dean” Melonakos of Stamford, CT. A daughter Ann Trabucco and her husband Vito of Rockaway, NJ. A Brother Peter Melonakos and his wife Margaret of Stamford,CT. Also surviving is his sister Helen Comolli of Yardley, PA.
Besides his parents Theodore is pre-deceased by his loving wife Betty Xanthos Melonakos, his stepmother Georgia Aposporos Melonakos , and a brother Jack Melanos.
Family and Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 on Wednesday, July 25th, 2012 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM with a Trisagian Service to be held with the Rev. Evan Evangelidis at 7:00PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:15 AM and process to a funeral service at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT 06905 at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Stamford, CT.
