Theresa "Tessie" Carroll

Theresa “Tessie” Carroll, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born August 14, 1921 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Geraldine DellaCorte Galasso.
She is survived by her two sons, James A. Carroll, III of Stamford; and Dennis Carroll of Shelton; a daughter, Cynthia Tribuzio of Stamford; a brother, Anthony Galasso of Stamford; a sister, Rose Kukuc of Fairfield; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, James A. Carroll; and two sisters, Mary Galasso and Bridget Granelli.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, August 13 from 11:00 �" 12:00. A service will then be held at the funeral home at 12:00 noon. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions are made in Theresa’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
