Theresa Lucia, 89, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving son and family at Stamford Hospital on Tuesday, October 13, 2015. She was born in Stamford on June 10, 1926 to the late Anthony and Lucy Suppa.
She is survived by her devoted son Daniel Lucia of Stamford, a brother Dominick Suppa of FL, a sister Anna Gutowski of Stamford, as well as three grandchildren Melisa Lucia, Krystina Corbett, Stephen Lucia and one great granddaughter Abylina Lucia Gallegos. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, sister in laws and brother in laws.
Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband Canio Lucia, a brother Frank Suppa and two sisters Sylvia Sapia and Gilda Lane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. There will be no callings hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is handling the arrangements.
