Thomas G. Denice, 70, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Stamford on April 10, 1951 to the late Thomas J. and Margaret Jamieson Denice.
Thomas attended St. John’s Elementary School, Stamford Catholic High and J.M. Wright Technical School. He also enlisted in the US Marine Corps in October of 1968 and served in the Western Pacific and Vietnam War with the 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division. He worked for Penn Central and Amtrak Railroads, as well as the City of Stamford, and retired on March 17, 2014. Thomas was a proud American and Marine, Sempre Fi.
Thomas is survived by his daughter, Sherri Denice Beatty and her husband Dan of Naugatuck, his brother, Glenn Denice and his wife Sandi of TN, his sisters, Cindy Frattaroli and her husband Dominick of Stamford and Jamie Denice Wilder and her husband Bill of Stamford, as well as his fiancé, Denise Kallas of Stamford. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Cody, Halley, Shelby and Casey.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A graveside service will be celebrated at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 11:00 with full military honors.
