Thomas J. Glynn, III, 73, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Stamford on March 14, 1940 to the late Thomas J. and Helen Buschbaum Glynn, Jr.
Tommy was a devoted Yankee and Jet fan. He was a good and loving brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his loving sister, Patricia H. Dunn and her husband Thomas of Stamford, his nieces Alanna Olivetti and her husband Berti, Eira Emke Lucas and her husband William, great nieces Alissa, Caitlin Olivetti and a great nephew Peter Olivetti, the Dunn family and many cousins.
Besides his parents, Tommy was also predeceased by his brother Gary C. Glynn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St Gabriel’s RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Stamford Hospital for their compassionate care they gave to Tommy during his final hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tommy’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
