Thomas Mills Sr

Thomas Ralph Mills Sr., age 56, of Stamford, CT, passed away
peacefully on Monday, September 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving
wife and three children. Tom had been battling Ocular Melanoma, a rare
and aggressive form of cancer that had metastasized.
Tom was born on November 22, 1961 in Manhattan, New York.
He had a love for architecture and owned a thriving business installing the highest quality aluminum and glass products. Tom had a passion for
volunteer work and dedicated over 10 years of his life to Stamford
public service, including 7 years as Chairman of the Zoning Board.
Tom was endlessly devoted to his beloved wife of 31 years, Katherine
W. Mills of Stamford, along with their children, son TJ Mills and his
girlfriend Alyssa Coughlin, daughter Tara Mills and her fiancé Billy
Jaroszynski, and daughter Taylor Mills. Tom is also survived by his
mother-in-law, Almida Orlando, his sisters-in-law, Tina Orlando
DeNapoles and Mari Orlando Kaszuba, and numerous nieces and
nephews. Tom is predeceased by his father-in-law, Romano Orlando,
and both of his parents, Thomas Mills and Rose Wescott Mills.

Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home
& Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT, on Friday, September 7,
2018 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at St. Catherine’s of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 4
Riverside Ave., Riverside, CT, at 10:00AM on Saturday, September 8,
2018. A funeral procession will follow to St. Mary’s Mausoleum,
Greenwich, CT.
