Tommaso F. Moccia, 89, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. Born February 13, 1920 in San Mango, Sul Calore, Italy, he was the son of the late Tommaso F. and Diletta D’Amato Moccia.

He was a retired employee of Clairol, Inc.

He is survived by his four sons: Teodoro Moccia and his wife Rose M.; Albert Moccia and his wife Lydia C.; Anthony B. Moccia and his wife Luann R.; and Sergio B. Moccia all of Stamford; six grandchildren: Dr. Thomas F. Moccia, II, Lisa N. Moccia, Deborah A. Podradchik, Diana M. Bivona, Anthony S. Moccia, and Thomas N. Moccia; and six great grandchildren: Alyssa R. Bivona and Jason T. Bivona; Sarah and Abigail Podradchik; Isabella and Andrew Moccia.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ninfa Villani Moccia; seven brothers, Genoroso, Benny, Alberindo, Olimpio, Alberto, Carmine and Andrea Moccia; and a sister, Adeline Moccia.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, July 23 from 4:00 �" 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday, July 24 and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery Mausoleum in Darien.
