Venus Partin Weinrich
June 25, 1934 — March 20, 2015
Venus Belle Partin Weinrich, 80, of Southington, CT and formerly of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 20, 2015 at The Orchards Assisted Living in Southington, CT. She was born in Hickory, NC on June 25, 1934 to the late Floyd and Mary Rosalie Benfield Triplett.
Venus was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Marines as a Chaplain Assistant. She enjoyed spending time at the Outer Banks of NC and golfing. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a friend to all that knew her.
Venus is survived by her loving children, Connie B. Arndt and her husband Allen of Maiden, NC, Everett (Mark) W. Partin, III and his wife Kathleen of Watertown, CT, Stephen P. Partin and his wife Dawn of Bridgeport, CT and Melanie S. Bennett of Easton, CT. Also surviving are her eight loving grandchildren and eight great grandchildren including her sister Phyllis Webb Carnes of Hampton, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Venus was predeceased by her husbands Everett W. Partin, Jr. and Howard E. Weinrich.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 9:20 AM on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary’s RC Church,566 Elm Street, Stamford at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Venus’ memory to CUREPSP, 30 E. Padonia Road, Ste 201, Timonium, MD 21093 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
