Vincenzo Jimmy Romeo

Vincenzo �"Jimmy Romeo, 78, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at Norwalk Hospital due to complications from an accidental fall. Born March 20, 1929 in Italy, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Nicolina Morabito Romeo.
Jimmy was an honorary member of the Minturnese Club and a member of the former Calabrese Club, which was located on Spruce Street. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and was a loving husband, brother and father.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Pollifrone Romeo of Stamford; two sons, Joe Romeo and his wife Maria, and their son Joe Jr. of Danbury; and Carlo Romeo of Stamford; two brothers, Nicola Romeo of Italy; and Joseph A. Romeo of Stamford. Three nephews, Joseph Romeo of Stamford; Luigi Romeo of Italy; and Vincent Romeo of Stamford, also survive.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Friday, August 24, 2007 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 8:40 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2007 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM.
