Von Helsing

Von Ramona Helsing, 83, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2016 at the Stamford Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Von was born in Nova Scotia, Canada on February 10, 1933 to the late Vincent Sterling and Carrie Mae (Cross) Baker. Besides her parents, Von is predeceased by her loving husband John C. Helsing, and her sisters, Veronica Stevens and Joan Baker.
Von was a good and gentle soul, a sweet and selfless spirit, imparting light and joy to all who knew her. She held our hands for just a little while, but will hold our hearts forever.
Von is survived by her son Daryl Helsing of Stamford, her daughter Lavonne Petruzzellis of Stamford, her sister Deana Pribanic of Maine, her brother Graham Baker of Nova Scotia, her two grandchildren, Daryl Jon Helsing and Racquel Marie Helsing, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
There will be no calling hours and interment will be private. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Helsing family with the arrangements.
