Walter �"Lou Komsta, 83, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at Stamford Hospital. Born July 1, 1925 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Alexander and Josephine Komsta.
Walter was a retired self-employed painting contractor and a veteran of the US Navy having served in WWII.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Harriet Pribanic Komsta; a son, Alan Komsta and his wife Susan of Ridgefield; a sister, Helen Lasczak of Stamford; a brother, Teddy Komsta of Stamford; and three grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie and Michael Komsta of Ridgefield.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Roberta Komsta.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, April 30 from 5:00 7:00 PM. Interment will be held at a later date.
