Wayne M. Vetti

Wayne M. Vetti, 61, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2008 at Hospice of Volusia-Flager in Florida. Born July 22, 1947 in Stamford, he is the son of Manuel and Frances Baron Vetti, Sr.
A graduate of Rippowam High School, Class of 1965, he attended college in Ohio. Wayne was an electrician for ACME Electric Co. of Stamford. He had a love for motorcycles and was an avid biker. He was known for his great laugh and free spirit. Wayne liked to spend his time studying martial arts and was a master craftsman. Wayne was dear to his family/friends and had a heart of gold.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Laura Vetti of Stamford; a daughter, Jacquelyn Vetti and her fiancé Michael Spezzano, IV of Stamford; two brothers, Manuel Vetti, Jr. and his wife Bonnie of Stamford; and Bruce Vetti and his wife Debbie of Stamford; five nephews, Bruce Vetti, Jr., Tony Vetti, Michael Vetti and Kevin Vetti all of Stamford, and Manny Vetti, III of San Diego, CA; a niece, Tamara Vetti of San Diego, CA; and three great nephews.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, November 11 from 4:00 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:20 AM on Wednesday, November 12 and proceed to St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien.
