He was deeply committed to his family and community, always offering support, kindness, and a warm smile. He was born to Samual Potolicchio (1910–1991) and Margaret (Michelina) Frano Potolicchio (1918–2016).

He was a proud grand-uncle to Brayden, Tucker, Olivia, Mia, Amelia, Wynne, and Daphne. He attended St. John’s Elementary School and graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1971, where he formed lifelong friendships.
Bill had a passion for softball and spent over 40 years playing left field at Scalzi and Cummings Parks with Mobile Lock and the Locksters, before transitioning to coaching. He was honored with the Billy “Potts” Potolicchio Award by the Mobile Lock team, inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007, and named “Ironman” in 2017. Bill also loved golf, beginning as a caddy at Rockrimmon Country Club and later becoming a player. Weekends were often spent watching tournaments after tending to yard work and household chores. Professionally, Bill dedicated 43 years to Grand Union and Stop & Shop, where he served as a dairy manager. He was known for his exceptional service, pride in his work, and genuine care for his customers. Bill’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and laughter.
