William R. Donnelly, Jr., a former resident of Stamford passed away suddenly at his home in Monroe on February 2, 2017 at the age of 55. William was born on May 31, 1961 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Bill, as he was best known by, was a graduate of Stamford High School and Norwalk Community College. He was a longtime employee of John Deere now known as Site One for which he managed. Bill was also a past owner of The Dairy Inn in Springdale with his long time friend Mike Mallozzi. Along with a great passion for sports was his love of classic cars. His love and ownership of his bulldogs was his greatest enjoyment.Bill will always be remembered for his selfless willingness to help others, his sharp whit and hardy infectious laughter.

He is survived by his loving mother Theresa Turcer Donnelly of Monroe, his brother Timothy Donnelly, Sr., and his wife Carolyn of Stamford and their children Timothy and Kaitlin. His aunt and uncle Anthony and Paula Turcer of Fairfield. His cousins Stephanie Wheeler and her husband Drew of Van Nuys,CA., and Michael Donnelly and his wife Kim of Norwalk and also his beloved bull dog Lenny.

William is predeceased by his father William R. Donnelly, Sr. grandparents Anthony and Jennie Turcer and step grandfather John D'Amrosio and and grandparents Robert and Mary Donnelly.

Family and Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Sunday, February 5th, 2017 from 12:00PM to 4:00PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10:30AM and proceed to the Sacred Heart RC Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM Interment will be privately held
