William M. Jones, 58, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Stamford Hospital. Born on October 30, 1951 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Hugh W. and Celia R. Mallett Jones.
William was a postal clerk with the US Postal Service for 39 years and was a member of the Eagles Club of Stamford. He was an avid fan of Tic Tacs and the History Channel.
William is survived by his wife, Joan L. Weintraub Jones of Stamford and his brother John M Jones and his wife Dawn of Shelton. He was a devoted uncle to Pamela F. and Daniel M. Jones, both of Shelton.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, April 1, 2010 from 2:00-5:00PM with a service at 3:00PM. Interment will be Private.
