Anne Mintellus
Sr. Anne Calmita Lorancy Mintellus was born on March 16th, 1926 to Mr. Mintel Mintellus and Ms. Maricile Jadel in Cavaillon, Haiti. She worked as an entrepeneur where she would make wholesale purchases and sell products to the locals in her homeland. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in her home church, Eglise Baptiste de Labiche, in 1965. Soon, thereafter, she met the love of her life, Br. Lissage Lorancy, who was also a member of the said church. Sr. Mintellus and Br. Lorancy married and began a family in 1969. They lived a full and warm life filled with joy, happiness, and kindness surrounded by their 4 beautiful and lovely children Erzile, Willy, Rita, and Bertricia. Sr. Mintellus said goodbye to her bestfriend, Br. Lissage, in December 1986 and depended on the Lord to continue caring for her family.
Sr. Mintellus immigrated to the United States with her children in 1995 to Stamford, CT. Being the devout Christian she was, she joined Christ Sanctified Church of the Haitian Ministry family. She became a member of the choir and served faithfully for 27 years. Because of her gentle and quiet personality, she was loved by many and always made everyone feel welcome. She loved to share funny stories and always had a great smile. As she advanced in years, her health began to decline until her passing. She entered eternal rest peacefully on October 4, 2022, at 9:00 PM in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.
Sr. Mintellus leaves to cherish her memories with her 5 children and their spouses Erzile & Dusois Derosier, Rita & Jean Claude Bourbon, Bertricia & Maxo Decat, Asmine & Frantz Charles, Willy; her brothers and sisters Duvile Mintellus, Estave Mintellus, Gislene Mintellus, Dejois Mintellus; her 14 grandchildren and their spouses Aime & Natakie Brousseau, Annoncile & James Milus, Carmelle & Mario Nety, Elmita, Marc, Macorel, Kendall, Stephanie, Leila, Nathaelle, Alexandra, Sophonie, Destiny, and Jordyn; her 5 great-grandchildren Valerie-Joy, Ava-Grace, Daniel, Carter, Maelle; her many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
