Bridget A. Coyne, 82, of Stamford, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 5, 2022. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland on June 1, 1940 to the late John and Nora Healy Ruddy.
Bridget Coyne was a devoted aunt to many of her nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. She was a devoted wife of Joseph Coyne, whom passed September 24, 2004. She was a truly wonderful person who loved to laugh, enjoyed many trips and keep a well kept home. She loved the Spring and Summer; her flowers were always the most beautiful around. She worked very hard in executive positions in many of the best companies throughout CT and New York. Bridie’s house was always open to anyone who wanted to come sit and chat or needed advice, but most of all the laughter. She will be truly missed as one of the most caring, loving generous people that God has ever created.
Bridget is survived by her loving sisters, Mary Curtin of Stamford and Ann Kelly of London, England, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Bridget was also predeceased by John Ruddy, Patrick Ruddy and Michael Ruddy.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:00 PM at St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 3:00-6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bridget’s memory to St. Maurice RC Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT 06906
