Diane Bull

Diane Epstein Bull, passed away August 31st from heart failure. Diane was born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and grew up in northern Philadelphia and Southampton. She studied bio-chemistry at Penn State University, then finished multiple masters at Temple University. On a blind date, she met then later married Leroy Keet Bull and went on to have one beautiful daughter. She moved to Doylestown PA for family and career teaching science, then into the battery industry, and finishing her career in the pesticide industry. She thrived in clutter and never met a horizontal surface she couldn’t fill with piles of paper.
A book could be written about the adventures of Diane. She was a lead participant in the women’s movement to pass the ERA. She also studied to be an interfaith reverend, raised butterflies, was an avid reader, Feung Shui practitioner, and world traveler. She did all of this with a mischievous glint in her eye.
She is survived by her loving spouse of 57 years Leroy and brother David Epstein. For the last seven years she has lived in Stamford CT with her daughter Sarah and family, including her loving granddaughter Samantha.
She attended so many political protests she couldn’t count them all. Recently, she attended a protest in Stamford holding a poster that read “Now you have pissed off Grandma”. While her protesting days are now over, the values she fought for endure in those she touched.
