Deborah Meno

Deborah Martha Meno, 72, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and a former long-time resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully at home after a brief battle with cancer on Monday, August 22, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 4, 1950 in Stamford to the late George Douglas and Betty Fox Smith.
Deborah graduated from John Jay High School in Cross River, NY in 1968 and studied nursing for some time at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA. She served as the executive assistant to both CEO and CFO of Olin Corporation for over 30 years before retiring and moving to North Carolina. She was an active member in Alcoholics Anonymous, proudly celebrating 16 years of sobriety, through which she served as a meetings coordinator and beloved sponsor for many.
Deborah is predeceased by her husband Robert Michael Meno, also of Stamford. She is survived by her son Sean Meno and his wife Rose of Succasunna, NJ and her daughter Kelly Meno of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as well as four grandsons Roscel Manalo, Brandon Manalo, Robert Meno, and Ronan Cuenin-Meno, and one granddaughter Kennedy Cuenin-Meno. She is also survived by her brother Douglas Smith of Georgia along with cherished extended family in the New England area, and her beloved dog of eleven years, “Cassie.” Deborah will be remembered fondly in the hearts of all who were blessed to have known her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford. There will be no calling hours.
