Gloria Cacace

Cacace, Gloria Andrea (Rosa), age 79, of Stamford passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness. She was born on February 25, 1942 in Bronx, NY. She was the daughter of the late Nancy and Joseph Rosa.
Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone. She had a passion for flowers and plants and truly had a green thumb. She loved animals and cared for her daughter Cindy’s dog and bird in Florida anytime they traveled which was often.
She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. Gloria is survived by her daughters, Andrea Coscarelli of Stamford and Cynthia Beach (Charles) of Jupiter, FL. Her siblings, Andrew Rosa (Paula) and Marie Van Alstyne. Her grandchildren, Joseph Coscarelli, Generoso Coscarelli (Chrissi) and Jonathan Coscarelli (Nicole). Her great grandchildren, Caroline, Leonardo, Dexter and Madelyn Coscarelli. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a wonderful pet grandmother to Shady, Riley and Sugar Mag.
Gloria’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful physicians, nurses and medical staff that cared for her during her stay in the ICU. The family would also like to recognize with sincere appreciation the wonderful care Gloria received on the 6th floor by all the nursing staff, by Dr. Alfred Bircaj, Doreen Chimblo and Laconia Therio.
Gloria’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be no calling hours. Her family will hold a Celebration of Life in the Spring of 2022. Gloria’s favorite time of the year was Spring, when the flowers were blooming and the weather was nice. Gloria had an immeasurable love for animals and their welfare.
