Michele Crocco

Michele M. Crocco, age 62, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2021 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Stamford on March 11, 1959 to the late Michael M. Crocco, Sr. and Esterina Bevacqua Crocco.
Michele attended Stamford public schools and graduated from Mother of God Academy in Stamford and then she graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in 1977. She went on to work as a secretary at Reflectone, Peerless Nuclear Corporation and then to Xerox Corporation until 1984. She then worked for the Grand Union Company as a bookkeeper from 1982 to 2001 then Stop and Shop from 2001-2017. She loved her jobs and met many good friends and customers through her work.
Michele loved to read and loved to cook, but the light of her life was spending time with her family!! She loved her nieces and nephews very much!! She spent as much time with them as possible!!
Michele is survived by her devoted brother, Michael M. Crocco, Jr. and his wife Rita, her nephews, Michael M. Crocco, III and his wife Holly and their son, Michael, Tony Crocco and his wife Marianne and their children, Leo and Marco and Tina Lopez and her husband Lorenzo. Besides her parents, Michele was also predeceased by her great nephew, Lucas Michael Lopez.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. for a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, in Stamford. The interment will immediately follow mass at St. John’s R.C. Cemetery, in Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 3:00PM to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michele’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
